Preaching and Thoughts on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.. and other mentions.

Be EXTREMELY careful of the act of “slaying in the Spirit!” Why do I say this? While I believe that the men and woman of God who manifest these “acts” are genuine Christians, these are not a manifestation of God, but rather the devil. You see whenever a young prophet or preacher of God is rising up, the devil takes the opportunity to get in there and cause these commotions so that the ministers themselves, along with young believers, and even some old ones.. will believe in a lie.. that way the word spreads around that this “service,” or “prophet” is doing mighty miracles. In fact, after being “slain” the person/target is not administered anything special at all.. neither impartation or anything else from God. Yet when they “fall over” others who have not “fallen” over crave for the same thing.
Any and all the scriptures that point to “slain” are NOT a good thing.
Let’s take a look at a few…

But Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Now as he went on his way, he approached Damascus, and suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. And FALLING TO THE GROUND he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. …

Like the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud on the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. AND WHEN I SAW IT, I FELL ON MY FACE, and I heard the voice of one speaking.

When Jesus said to them, “I am he,” THEY DREW BACK AND FELL TO THE GROUND.

Revelation 1:17

When I saw him, I FELL AT HIS FEET, AS IF DEAD. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last,

When the disciples heard this, THEY FELL ON THEIR FACES and WERE TERRIFIED

So that the PRIESTS COULD NOT STAND TO MINISTER because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of God. Mark 3:11 (Notice it’s the MINISTERS who could not stand… NOT the people who came for the blessing.)

Ask yourself this: if the Bible states that so many of the “leaders” fell at the throne of God, why aren’t the ministers who make themselves out to be the vessels through which people are slain, slain themselves?

Hebrews 4:1-16 And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.”

The unclean spirits fell down and cried.. they cried out.. not wept, not silently either. It wasn’t just a single unclean spirit, NO! It was spirits! and the fell down.. harshly.. and CRIED OUT! Again.. it wasn’t a whisper.. and it wasn’t murmuring….

Why on earth would the same Jesus who told the lame man “Rise, take up your bed and walk!” (John 5:8-16).. Remember that the man was on the ground, and he probably had some difficulty getting up after being down for so long.. but the man ROSE UP…. he wasn’t “slain in the spirit” at all!

Slain in the Spirit is a phenomena that happens when a person sees a vision or even event beyond ordinary happenings. It can most likely happen anywhere the presence of God is (and that’s not limited to a church.. the disciples were drawn to their knees witnessing the transfiguration of Christ.) But those in the church are easily “slain” by a light touch of a hand, or maybe even a sweeping of an arm…https://www.gotquestions.org/Spirit-slain.html

In short.. if a person is ever truly “slain the spirit” it would cause fear and trembling (and probably weeping) at the knees.. and not on their backs!

PLEASE pray for the young prophets/ministers/people of God who are being lead to participate in this act.. They are sincere in their efforts to lead others to Jesus, but need to understand that this is not something that is Holy!
